This LED recessed / surface mounted anti-panic lighting with auto test is easy to install. The anti-panic emergency lighting fixture has a white plastic housing and can be used both surface mounted and recessed. The lens can be replaced by a lens with a rectangular window. Also called a corridor lens. This lens ensures that the fixture gets a rectangular beam of light and is ideal for corridors and/or halls. The lighting switches on when the power fails. The fixture is easy to connect to the electricity grid. If the fixture is connected correctly, a green light will burn. The battery is fully charged within 18 to 24 hours. As soon as the power fails, the fixture will burn for up to 3 hours.
This fixture is equipped with a self-test. The first test will be performed 24 hours after installation of the fixture. After that, a function test will be performed every 4 weeks and the burn time of the battery will be tested every year. During a test, the light flashes green. After the test, the LED indicator will light up green or red.
With green light the fixture works properly and with red light it needs to be checked what is wrong. The battery needs to be fully charged before the test is performed and a manual test can always be started by means of the test button.
When is anti-panic lighting necessary?
In workplaces where workers may be exposed to particular hazards if the lighting fails,
or spaces where there is little or no daylight. Emergency lighting (at least 10% of the normal lighting intensity) must be present at these workplaces. The LED surface-mounted emergency lighting must burn within 5 seconds and remain burning for at least one hour afterwards.
